The launch of the creative thorp weblog
Ever thought about creativity? Poetry. images, design, ideas, stories? Most of us spend a lot of our work lives NOT being creative. We never have the experience of shutting down and going deep inside ourselves until something wonderful emerges.
I can spend hours on my computer like this – checking emails, updating spreadsheets, writing proposals, tracking payments – when what I really want to be doing is writing a poem or something that has a idea at the heart of it that will excite someone.
With someone else it will be the photographic images they want to produce and share or the novel they’ve been meaning to write.But life and work gets in the way.
NO MORE. Let’s hear it for creativity; for work that we can be wholehearted about; for the meditative place we go from which the best ideas, words and art emerge; for a place in our head without boundaries – and for the time, the space to write, draw, play, produce, develop and generally CREATE.
